Excellent work, Charon. And the command-stand is first class. What formation does this force represent - brigade, division, corps?  :)
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

It's one brigade short of a corps. (Which by a peculiar coincidence also sums up my mental state!)

Need 6 more battalions of infantry, one battalion of Jager and I'm there. With the Trapped Like a Fox campaign rules you ideally need a Corps (although you can scale down if you wish).

Think you might need a few more batteries there as well.  Prussian Corps tend to have about 15 Batteries in 1866, 6 x 4pdr Rifled, 4 x 6 pdr Rifled, and 5 x 12pdr smoothbore.

Quite right, I do need another 4 batteries for the second infantry division (and another light cavalry rgt). Not too sure about the Corps reserve artillery yet - it may unbalance our games.

The artillery reserves in 1866 were so badly handled that they won't unbalance the game, you'll just be waiting for them to turn up!  ;D

Hi Charon,  I understand your reservations, but I would recommend you go with the actual OOB, and propose the following minor clarifications/amendments to the rules.  Three categories of artillery I) Heavy artillery (Austrian 8pdr, Prussian 6 pdr); II) Field artillery ( Prussian and Austrian 4pdr), and a new category iii) Smoothbore artillery (Prussian 12pdr).  The latter, being short barrelled and light, had very limited range, so max range of only 1Square.

Second, given that Prussians withdrew to resupply, and Austrians didn't, suggest you use the 6 on the dice supply wagon rule for the Prussians only.

Third, all Austrian batteries, as well as being good, had eight guns instead of six. If you do not think the reduce die roll by one is enough to reflect this ( and bear in mind the Saxons get this modifier and their batteries had only six guns). Then for every three Austrian batteries in the OOB (24 guns) add an extra gun model.

I think the above will give the balance you are looking for.
