Thanks for the nice comments guys :). I always like to play on a nice looking table as it makes for a better game IMHO.

Nice one Steve (both getting a game in and the report which was fab)

Like your house rules by the way ;)

Whenever I play two low CV armies against each other I always up the CV ratings by 1 or 2 - its all relevant when both are low CV and as you say it makes for a more flowing game.
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

Nice report as usual Steve!

One question: in turn 3, the Russian mortar op-fires at the Italian IG - was the IG firing or moving? It looks unlimbered, so I guess the former.

Steve J

Yep the IG fired on a dug-in MG unit and then copped a load of op fire from the mortar in return! I deployed it in the open so it had a direct field of fire to the Russian tanks that could have advanced along the other side of the river.

Nice one Steve.  8)
I haven't tried "hits stay on", but I think I'll give it a go.
Sadly no longer with us - RIP (2018)

Great battle and a pleasure to read!

Steve J

The 'hits stay on' does make a difference, improving game flow in some scenarios (for both sides).
