I think current usage is much more around the number of players and subs - as the team. Rather than just the players on the pitch.

Legit question. Is one of the five on-field (pitch) players a goalkeeper? It seems that the game would be much more exciting without a goalkeeper and more high scoring.

Checked the weather forecast yesterday evening. Cloudy all day today, maybe a shower around 08-ish. Otherwise dry, Good but not great for my daughter's "welcome to our new home" party/BBQ.

This morning . . .

Been hissing down since about 07:00, and now we have thunder & lightning (very, very frightening).

Weather forecasting - the only job* where you can get it very, very wrong indeed with no chance of losing your job.

Rather the same here, with predicted light rain and maybe some thunder on and off throughout the day. However absolutely torrential rain since about 8.30am and only just finished here now. So much surface water on the roads, with plenty of idiots driving too fast and too close!

Been in Glasgow (and north) today for Sir Chris Hoy's Tour de 4 charity bike ride - so been keeping even more of an eye on the weather this week than normal. Mid week the forecast was heavy rain all day, by Friday it had changed to likely dry all morning, with rain coming in from the afternoon. Saturday was much the same. Actually today, started dry, then heavy ran for a couple of hours, dried up for a couple of hours, then more rain from about 4:30.
