I'm at work and it's gone quiet...  ;D

I did 23 years working 24 hour shifts ad the word beginning with Q was not allowed to be spoken. Bit like not whistling  on a ship.  AS inevitable once some one had used it all hell broke loose.

Knowing FSN, he is probably imagining Anne Hathaway in a Napoleonic era bodice............ I don't think we want to know any more of his imaginings :d

Well, my, Saturday was a series of minor but irritating disasters.

Starting with my usual early morning half litre of instant coffee and a buttermilk pancake which I had taken to consume in front of my PC (I know, I know, very bad practice).

Can you imagine what happened next?  :-\

Probably not. I picked up the plate with the pancake on it and the plate snapped in half, for no apparent reason. Leaving me holding half a plate and no pancake. Reversing the computer chair to recover the errant debris I ran over it instead. Fortunately I have a rubber mat to protect the carpet so scraping fragments of pancake off the floor was not as much of a chore as it might have been. :-[ >:( #-o :-<

The day did not get better thereafter.  :(

This year is Rail 200 - celebrating the birth of the modern railway 200 years age.

The problem is I remember Rail 150.

And suddenly Im feeling old. Very old. And very down. Not good.

Hopefully this will pass soon.

Same at my place.

A joke on the internet made me realise something.

In the original Star Wars (later retitled to 'A New Hope')

The Millennium Falcon is captured by the tractor beam on the Death Star, pulled in, and captured in a hanger. Two storm Troopers enter to search it. Luke and Han grab them, put on their uniforms, go and rescue Leia. In the ensuing firefight, the Falcon escapes in a hurry.

One assumes when it landed at the Rebel Base, the Rebels did a 'pit stop' check on it.

Which means some engineer came out and asked "Why have you got two semi-naked people tied up on your ship?"
