Great start to the week/month, on the way to work this morning and someone's ran a red light and hit the front of my car.     Time for one of those fun calls to the insurance company to get it repaired.  Luckily I've got a dashcam these days so it's all on video.

I'm fine thanks, just peed off really.  The car isn't too badly damaged but it's cracked the bumper and knocked things out of alignment so it's going to need a proper repair.

That is SO true.

I fended off dozens a few years ago, when someone reversed into me in a local car park....He was very honest, and came and found me to 'own up'. (Only broke one of the fog lamps)

I wasn't even IN the car when this happened....But, good grief, the number of calls I got, as he had to go through his insurance.

I did get rather peed off, in the end. .....It went on for months !!

Yeah, I had those for years when Adele hit black ice and rolled her car in 2017.

Incidentally, this past week we've been inundated with energy brokers trying to get us to sign up to all sorts of stuff, as we've got new premises.  I have no idea how they've found this out, as we've not signed the final paperwork yet and haven't taken ownership.  But somehow we've appeared on a database and the calls have begun.

I am still waiting to go to court on someone pulling out on me on a roundabout 18 months ago .  Unfortunately I didn't have a dash cam. they have come up with some complete fairy tale and its has to go to court.

I'm now into the 4th yeer of a miss-selling case, it started on Friday 13th July 2018........ARGHHHHHH 

On the other hand when I wrote my car off I was paid out by the insurance company with in 3 weeks, and by bank transfer.

Oh they wrote my car off too as uneconomical to repair. Paid me out 80% of its value and i am still driving it 18 months later. MOT was no problem.
