It is possible, very slightly possible, though who could countenance such an idea, that there is the slimmest possibility, slimmer than Twiggy on a diet, ever so slight chance, as negligible as it is, but a chance none the less, a miniscule, nay, subatomic prospect, even as I type I know how unlikely this is to a wargamer, conceivability, no matter how unlikely, probability, I have bought more movement trays than I actually need.

I know, I know, I realise it is virtually impossible to overbuy wargames equipment, but we have to entertain the merest notion it might happen one day.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

You haven't bought too many, you've bought just enough for your current project and the start of the next one....

Alternatively you just need a bigger table to fit more on

You know how 2020 was going to be my year of Napoleonics? Well Milday whispers in the ear of the Dark Lord and he bestirs himself on his ebon throne. With a dread laugh which reverberates around the hall like a rumble of distant thunder and causes casting dwarves to pause in terror, there appears to poor Nobby yet another distraction.

In this case the Raiden aircraft. So here are my efforts with the SM79 and the Breguet 693.*

I'm quite happy with the SM79, less happy with the Breguet, and really not happy with my photography.

I've got a Blenheim, 2 Stukas and 2 Typhoons to do.**

Then I just NEED Spitfires, Hurricanes, cute little CR42s, Bf109s and of course Butcher Bird FW190s, P47s, ... all of the French ...oooh and the P36 to use as a H75 ... and Battles of course ( I could end up with more RAF aircraft than the BEF)... oooh and that Wellesley looks so ugly it's adorable (do I really want to create an East Africa campaign just for a Wellesley??) ... and probably some USAAF bombers because I like to take risks with my Shermans. I may also have to sneak a Corsair to support the Marines, and maybe a Ki45 a) to balance thingsout and b) 'cos I have a thing for heavy fighters.

Nobby is thwarted. The Dark Lord settles on his throne, content. The casting dwarves scurry about their toils, breathing slightly easier as their sable master is sated - for now. Milady takes up her knitting and with a smile on her perfect red lips picks up the stitch that she dropped.

*I love Boom and Zoom Graphics ( https://boomandzoomgraphics.com/french_camo_guide.html ) description of the French air force in 1940 "French pilots found themselves with an outdated fleet of hangar queens and no clear strategic doctrine, and their few airworthy planes soon littered the French countryside like lawn darts at a family picnic. But they blended in nicely with the landscape."
** Yet more evidence that my 1944 NW Europe project isnot quite finished.

fred.

Nice work Nobby, the Breguat looks good to me.

I know what you mean about small aircraft, you always need a few more to support your troops.

The Raiden planes look very nice and detailed, I've got H&R and while cheap they certainly don't look as good as these.

Cheers chaps.    :)

Forgot to say, I used florists wire for the base. Fitted neatly into the hole in the bottom.

I need a bigger flat.
That will have a bigger room
THEN I can have a bigger table.

Then I can buy more movement trays, which will need more figures... no wait, is that right?

Nobby - is that a Wurttemburg aircraft? if so its got the 1806 camo, where as the Army of Italy has the 1812.

But he's Nobby!  Surely he has much to be ashamed of?

This is true.  :-[

Sad, but true.  :-[ :-[

I think top of the list must be the awful way I treat Techno. I know we all do it, but he is one of the nicest humans I know, and most of us have benefited from his skills with green putty. He is a storehouse of experience and a fount of interesting anecdotes - usually involving somebody famous - but he remains self-deprecating, and generous of his time and talent. He is obviously devoted to his good lady Von, and seems to be a local repository for lost and bewildered animals.

I am ashamed that I don't give Techno the respect he is due, and that I mercilessly rip the proverbial out of him at the slightest provocation.

Recently, I suggested he played the trombone badly. I posted a scandalous picture of Catweazle in the bath, inviting Techno related captions. I have on many occasions suggested he has no sense of direction, and despite his great love and knowledge of Prog Rock, I have openly stated several times that he is ABBA's no 1 fan in Wales.

I am ashamed for having maligned a good and decent man. I apologise whole heartedly for my conduct towards him.

But it's such fun.  :P
