I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

ARGHHHHHH !!!!!

Photography wise, I've actually got to use my brain again. (Something that's particularly difficult at my age.  :'( :'( :'()

Although I like to think that I had a damn good idea of all the variables, when we still used 'film' and the dear old style SLRs....I've got so used to sticking either of the digital cameras on 'P' (i.e lazy git) mode......Then using auto focus, and (where necessary) macro, or super macro...That I've never bothered to learn how to use the digital SLR properly.

Now I've got to..... X_X.....So I can take nice pics of Mrs T's latest creations, so there's no shadow in the photo at all......(And give it 'sparkly effects ' where appropriate.)

Soooooooo.....A ring flash (wait for the smutty comments) was purchased, which I've now got to remember how to use,...plus various special effects filters.

Ohhhh...This is going to take me a while to work out !

(Takes nice pictures of wee men though.....So that's a plus !)

Cheers - Mr Headache.

Cracked open the laptop tonight - bit nerve wracking, but it seems to have worked.  I won't put the full story here, but for those who's tech goes past fire-hardened pointy stick, full story here

I've done similar a few times LH and it's never fun, though I reckon it's easier than it used to be.

Recently replaced the screen on my phone - I think my hands are too big and my eyesight too feeble to be doing this sort of thing much longer :(

Well done, LH. :-bd

I'll have a 'go' at repairing certain electrical appliances....But if there's ever a problem with either the PC or Mrs T's lapdog (sic) it's off to a 'shop'.

Out of warranty, and possibly cheaper to buy a new one for the cost of labour on some things.

THAT !.....To me is the sad thing 'nowadays.'
Though it's been like that for a long, long time now.

Cheaper to throw the old item away, and buy a new one, rather than bother to repair it.  :(

Since I'm now retired labour costs are zero on DIY fixes.

The Chinese factories that make so many of the components seem happy to sell individual parts to oiks like me for a reasonable price and to ship it at a more than reasonable postage charge.

Al that plus the chance to give yourself the odd electric shock ... what's not to like? :)

Apparently its my fault for buying "They couldn't hit an elephant", and having 10mm already.

I actually said "YOU forced me to give Leon my card details"! - admittedly it was by introducing me to They Couldn't Hit an Elephant and already having ACW 10mm figures.

You know that conversation at the start of the evening with Broni, where it was obviously all your fault for doing something you didn't actually do?  Yeah...

Wargamers logic "You own X.  I therefore must absolutely buy X because of you know, reasons."  I've got £100 worth of plastic Wars of the Roses.  I'm not entirely sure why...
