Yep - from 1to600 miniatures: you can buy items singly (rather than in the 'standard' packs of 15) - tell 'em I sent you  8)

Jim Ando

Hi

1) Regiment of foote

2) Early war royalist vs early war parliamentarian (10mm of course).

3) yes

4) about 6 games with these rules now and it feels we`ve been playing them for years.

Several of us here in Toronto have 3mm armies too from O8, they're really good models, and incredibly cheap too.

My latest game was last night, using Bolt Action. You can read about it on my blog: http://nickthelemming.wordpress.com/

Here's a pic of the battlefield towards the end:

Looks like I have been sleeping in 1987, then!  Never knew the BAOR went to war at that time! :o

1) What ruleset do you use in your last game?
The Battlefield : miniature modern warfare.
2) What armies were confronted?
Modern Us, versus Modern SAS, versus Talibans.
3) Did you feel comfortable with the ruleset?
Yeah, it's pretty straight forward. Action points.
4) and... was the first time do you use the ruleset?
Third, I guess.

4) Definitely used a lot, it falls open on the 'blunder' table!
You may refer to me as: Your Grace, Duke Speedy of Leighton.

     Interesting ideas.

Phobos

1) De Bellis Magistrorum Militum
2) Alexander Macedonian and Saka (Battle of Jaxartes)
3) With the rulesets, yes, but the scenario itself needs loads of improvements.
4) DBMM, less than a year, but I know the basic mechanics of DBA and DBM lot of time ago.

Luddite

Interesting Phobos.  How do you find DBMM?  As long time tournament level DBM players we gave it a go and really found it a struggle.   :(

Last nights game:

1.  Bolt Action
2.  British Commando's v Weird War germans
3.  Yes, enjoyed it as it was a playtest for some home brewed weird war additions which has helped tweak the stats
4.  Almost a dozen games under my belt now

Up tonight - Space Hulk!!  ;)

The One Ring
Heroes against Goblins and wargs
Yes enjoyed it, the heroic types got a bit possed and needed a bit of help from a wandering Ranger who had been tracking the Goblins ;D ;D ;D
First time used it in anger, read it many times and ran multiple combats to practice the rules. We had a few teething troubles until we realised we were misunderstanding one of the rules.
Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

Last Hussar

Dux Brittanica
Saxons v Britons

Last week we tried out British Grenadier. An excellent of rules. Could be better explained, but worth the effort. Not a fast play set though.
