        "DANGER THIN ICE"

See there was this FOW game set in the Ardennes and one player sank his Tigger into the iced over pond, exit Tigger.

I've just built an objective marker showing this - less wording on the sign......

You could go for "Achtung! Tauchpanzerversuchsstellengebiet!"  Or something similar. 

Or maybe try  "Gefahr! Dünner Eisschicht-Dicke!"

I bet the last bit will be liked by all English speakers.
