The 30 round  7.62 mag for the LMG is not straight.  It has a slight bend to accomodate the combined taper of the  30 cases on the spring.  I carried one 24/7. The SLR 20 rd mag is straight and would fit at a pinch (indeed many TA and cadet units did use the 20 rd mag in their LMGs)  and some "real" men even loaded the 30rd mag to their SLR ! Until they had stoppages caused by the lack of power in the 30 rd spring, as the LMG loads with the the assistance of gravity.

If a 10mm Para .303 Bren gunner is cast with weapon in a clean mounting, it would be possible to convert to by a little gentle carving.  Or better still remove the .303 mag and add a 7.62 mag in plastic card.   I have not seen the WW2 para figure, but it might pass muster if you tweak the 37 pattern ammo pouches.  Actually when I think about it, a Crumbia based firm (Morland ?)  called Survival Aids (I kid you not, that was their name ! ) did a line in web that allowed high and low mountings of the pouch on the 58 belt.   I am not sure if they were available in early 1992, but as Kevin ******  (ex-SBS) and Fred Fernley ( one of 22's old and bold) were on their early staff, they sold a shed full of kit to special forces, the Royals and Paras.  In battle order I saw a lot of ALICE and 37 pattern being carried as well as lots of that very useful spare 58 waterbottle pouch.
Practically every Royal in the Task Force had a  Cyclops Roc for which the Cumbrian firm were mail order agents .    My son still gets use out of mine - it is over 30 years old and still a superb peice of kit.

Then you have the problem with the flash hider, that cone on the Bren is VERY Distinctive.....

SLR mag also has a very shallow curve, but yeah an LMG mag is just visably covered.

REal men also had 21 or 31 rounds in their SLR, fit mag, cock to chamber, take mag off and add lose round.

The para pose is similar to other Bren figures (gunner in bush hat).  I have filed down the muzzle very gently and with a straighter mag in plastic card you have a passable 7.62 LMG gunner in 10mm scale.

This makes the WW2 para playable for the Falklands.  All needed is a paint job for the Denison in DPM.
