I am Ben Aka HeadClot.

I am just getting into war games so if some one could point me in the direction of some good fantasy wargame rules or Modern War Game Rules.
I would be very appreciative. If you are wondering why i call myself HeadClot. I will tell you I always get sniped in the head in Team fortress 2.

I am Table Top Gamer and a Video gamer at heart.

I love WW2, Fantasy, Modern and Sci Fi War games. They have always caught my attention.

Welcome!

In terms of rules suggestions, I'd recommend these for 'big' battles:

Fantasy: Warmaster
Modern: Cold War Commander

For 'small' scraps / skirmishes:

Fantasy: GW Lord of the Rings [w/ any adaptations etc]
Moderns: Cold War Commander / Ambush Alley

First off I would like to thank every one for the very warm welcome. :)

I Have Future war Commander (the Sci-fi equivalent of Cold War Commander) and Dirtside 2
I like the Rules and I am going to buy Cold War Commander along with blitzkrieg commander 2

You could do a lot worse than to have a look at Too Fat Lardies rules (toofatlardies.co.uk)

- I Ain't Been Shot Mum for WW2 at company level
- Troops Weapons & Tactics at lower level

If you like the card based mechanisms in those rules then the fantasy wargame I'm working on (This One's Split; http://thisonesplit.blogspot.com ) might appeal to you as well. But no guarantees whatsoever when it will be done.
