Half my Hundred Years War French Army for Star & Garter (my Medieval Dux Bellorum variant). Knights, Retainers, a Canon and plenty of colourful flags and banners to do  :D

Please excuse the pic, it was taken with my phone, rather than my "proper" camera.

Cheers,

I like these a lot 8). Count me in for a game when you have everything finished, or even earlier if needs be :D.

Trouble is Steve we cant play until they are painted  ~X(

I ve decided to paint them on lolly sticks and then move them to their bases as with upto 8 men on a 40 x 20 it was too cramped to paint in situ  :-\

Dont worry as soon as th French and English are finished we can have a a go at one of my medieval scenarios I am brewing up for" Star & Garter". Perhaps a little campaign, culminating in an all out attack on the walled city? or an assaut on the monastery on the big hill?

Cheers,

Well the gorgeous weather of late has put the caibosh on most things related to painting etc for me. Simply far too nice to spend time indoors. However last night I did manage to make a start on basing my DBA 2mm armies, which was good. Easy to fit in late in the evening but still spend time outside 8).

At lunchtimes I've started cleaning up my AWI/ImagiNations forces. The figures are stunning, especially when viewed under a magnifying lamp, I just hope I can do them justice with my paint job.

Rnow had five weeks of my ambulance service training and even though i have had long boring evenings sat in my hitel room sadly its too dim to paint :(

Thankfully iwm duxford is a mile up the road so i have been able to drop by the museum on two evenings. Missed george clooney and matt damon who were at the museum filming monument men.
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

Hi Nosher,
check out the American cemetery at Madingley. I've only ever see n the hill full of crosses from a distance, but they are all of American aircrew who died in WWII IIRC. Also have a stroll around the Cambridge 'backs' on an evening; very nice place to be with weather like this 8).

was stationed this way in the late 90's with 38 Engineer Regiment at Waterbeach so know Cambridge quite well. Oddly enough hadn't thought about Maddingley Cemetary, might have to pay it a visit ;)

The course is descending on Cambridge tomorrow evening. After a full day of assessments I am thinking we might need it :) Looking forward to revisiting my old bar bumping grounds and sampling the local 'refreshments' :-bd

Here's a how-d'ye-do! I'd finished up the Soviet HQs and other Kursk bits and pieces, and I'd just settled down to paint those super-duper Timecast buildings, when in through the letterbox plops the next batch of Pendraken goodies. Now I'm like a dog between four trees - I don't know what to do next. Ah, well, there are worse dilemmas....

Six 105mm artillery guns painted up in 15mm.
Battlefront figures, so two command teams, then the obligatory two staff teams (table and four blokes standing round), one for each set of three guns. With the staff teams, one will get a proper map of Nam on the table, the other will get a game of bridge and four soldiers standing round it, one pulling a pistol on the others!

After a very long break from the painting table (well kitchen table actually), I managed to drum up a bit of enthusiasm this evening and finished off a Morris AC that has been sitting there nearly done for over a year now! At least it's a start but with the promised glorious weather over the next week or so, I doubt anything else will get touched.

Over forty berms/trenched and gun pits done for 15mm Vietnam at the end of the month...
Plus 6x105mm guns and crews painted, may even get some photos done at some point.  :-\

Finally got the Timecast buildings painted up, and the walls, and the hedges. #:-S Haven't quite got around to the "N" gauge railway line yet - Kursk artillery and recce take priority.
