Following our successful hobby afternoon I got the resin dungeon out for the sproggs to play with and finally decided to what colour to paint it: back to boring (Wickes' Slate) grey, *BUT* with a chalky dry-brush to add a bit of texture 

Six half rooms left to go, then I just need to re-ink a few of the crevices that got accidentally filled with the grey/white paint 

THEN I ONLY need to finish the furnishings... 

Last six half rooms finished, that's the easy part done...

First two SYW battalions are based. Now for the von Bayreuth dragoons. Auf, Ansbach Dragoner!/Auf Ansbach-Bayreuth!/Schnall um deinen Saebel und rueste dich zum Streit!...like their exclamation marks, don't they? Though their rhymes are terrible, which is unforgivable in German.

Picts shield bosses, spear tips swords and helmets, final plaiding painted, sorting out and whether or not I blue them up in woad will have to remain until I get home.

Drove home from Tenby (sorry Phil, will have to be another year) 
Finished three stands of Later Roman cavalry and six Auxilia figures.
Attempted to paint 40+ legionary shields.
Will go back and start those again tomorrow, maybe.

Anyway.....been working away on the archers  for the Sam Apes. Right pains to get the piercing saw in the right places to do the tweaks.
Think I've done all the 'destructive' work on the first 15....So I can now start repairing them. (That'll be a lot quicker...and a lot more fun. )

Also had to phone Orange as we completely lost t'internet a couple of days ago.
Thank goodness it eventually sorted itself out. (So 'obviously' Orange HAD some sort of issue.)
I truly could not understand what the Orange operative was saying as he was trying to get me to check the PC at Techno Towers.

Also had an unexpected prezzie from a certain member of the forum.....which I'll thoroughly enjoy.
Have to say when I first opened the package, my first reaction was "What the 'heck' " has he sent me those for ! Took about 20 seconds to suss out what it was.
