Personally, I would argue that figures fall into the "a picture's worth a thousand words" catagory. 10mm figures in particular can give an image of a fighting unit unobtainable by any other means. And wasn'r Paddy Griffiths and co aptly described as "the Plymouth Bretheren of wargaming"?

Very nice in fact. Lots of detail, finely sculpted and made in scale, for something that doesn't exist I know that is oxymoronic, but they are to the specifications laid down by the designers of the anime show.

I can tell you though that they are a labour of love. The blood, sweat and tears in making these..., well more hours work than I care to remember really.

A bit like running the campaign. Hours of my life spent in preparation for games. Sometime I wonder if it is all worthwhile? Then I remember I actually enjoy making things and that is enough to keep me gong.
