It may reflect badly on me as a human being but I found the kerfuffle involving Chinese, Korean and Indonesian badminton players to be hugely amusing.

And, despite my advancing years,  I'm adolescent enough to find the whole idea of a women's coxless pair to be mildly snigger worthy.

Hear, hear, Nik. Man of the games so far for me has been Emanuele Guidi of San Marino in the men's individual archery. He was a wild card entry, streets behind all the other competitors, and arrived on the butts grinning and waving to the crowd - obviously enjoying the whole thing. He got slaughtered by his opponent and departed, still beaming and waving, to great applause. It's what it's all about IMHI.

Lucky beggar! The stadium looks fantastic on TV. We tried to get tickets for the white-water events, which were held just a couple of miles down the road from us, but not a hope!

Also got to see Bolt and the whole 100m qualifying, and Pistorius in the 400 metres, and (Que Nik) all the pole vault totty!

All for 20 quid with Mrs Lemmey and number 1 daughter while number two gets baby sat by the in-laws!

We paid twenty each, plus a free zone 6 travel card, daughter took advantage of the 'pay your age' scheme, and we paid 7 message her, we spent more on food and drink while we were there!

We usually have 3 small cod, 2 large chips, couple of sausages, and a pickled onion for 16 quid.  I bought 3 Cod, plus a pizza (£6) at Westfield.  My card was smoking!
