General Bt Sherman

A few weeks ago I commemorated the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Fair Oaks by refighting the Fair Oaks Station part of the battle. To date this is the largest battle that I have run in terms of table size and the amount of figures used. It took me a few weeks to put the battle report together, but final here it is. Looking forward, my next large battle will probably be the Cornfield at Antietam. In the mean time, I also hope to do some smaller 1862 battles. So be on the lookout for these starting in July.

Robert, The rail fences are from Battlefield Terrain Concepts. They come in kits that you assemble.

I really dislike the mechanic that requires you to roll before you perform any action with a given unit. I prefer having to roll to see how many orders your brigade commander can issue (Something like Blitzkrieg Commander). I also thought that the rules were a little to complex for me to run a game by myself at a convention.

Hey Bryan, what size Hotz felt fields did you use?  the 6mm to 15mm or 20mm  to 30mm?  I would guess the 6mm to 15mm.  Since I also like to game 20mm WWII I wonder how the 10mm figures would size up with the larger fields~ or how 20mm figures would match up with the smaller fields.

thanks
