Sorry for digging out this old thread, but I'm once again looking for pictures of certain figs..
So which Zouaves are those? The 1870 French ones or ACW zouaves? Because of the headgear... thought of using FPW zouaves for 1914, but they wore a fez or turban back then..only the officiers had a kepi.

thanks in advance

The new ACW zouaves are lovely. Have a look at my Guards Voltigeur thread to see what the ones in turbans look like. I had to scratch build an eagle, it comes with a spike!

Excellent! I might use the acw zouaves for my French in Crimea, then.

Liking those a lot. The basing and flag are very inspirational.

Wonderfull stuff folks!
Always had a weak spot for the Ponticial Zouaves; we have a museum in the Netherlands dedicated to the Dutch volunteers with several Original uniforms, equipment etc. Absiolutely worthwhile!

>:( whoops! sorry, I was too busy looking at the pics and not enough reading the script ~ I saw ACW and then zoned out ... I wouldn't mind but the flag is a huge giveaway as to the nationality Doh!  :-[

I wonder if the Pontifical Zouaves told the other troops what they thought they ought to be doing.
