Please forgive me if this has been asked before.. just wondering why there are no lowered pikes.. ie fighting pike poses, just finished painting a sample batch to see if I like them and its the only thing putting me off as I like what looks good rather than what games good.

btw.. will post pic when ive done the base  ;)

Ever tried to use a unit in that pose?  They dont fit together and the pikse get very wavy very fast.

I'm with Daryl on this one. A pike block with pikes angled at 60 or 45 degrees looks far more business-like. My ECW regiments are thus using IM figures, which cost more and are less well proportioned. Lower than that (like the Pendraken Swiss front rankers) they are hard to use en masse, admittedly.
I'd certainly buy some Landsknechts with pikes sloping forward if they were to be made....

There are some pike figures with 45º pikes - but they are more medieval (I mixed and match several codes for my Warmaster Dogs of War pikes, so don't know which ones I actually used  :-[ )

Agreed. Pikes at the charge are a so-and-so to store and transport and, unless you have wide bases, they're inherently unstable.  :(
