Vallejo are lovely - and there's a nice Pallid Flesh in there too - so you can go back & finish those Foundry Ancient Germans  :D

I could but then I'd have to shelve my current plan to get loads of Pendraken Vietnam models for Force on Force at Salute. I'll just email Leon and tell him you've convinced me to cancel my order  :d

I was in thier MK store at the weekend where I picked up a box of Eldar Guardians and the paints.

And to be fair they actaully have a colour conversion chart now from old to new, and most of the changes seem to be in name only rather than total rebrand of colours.

Though I must say the red still seems a bit weak and takes a couple of coats to cover grey primed surfaces sufficently well enough to act as a base coat, I''ve not tried the other colours (Green, Black, white, grey, or chainmail yet).

had a small sample batch delivered on tuesday. Had a little play but essentially no different from the old paints just new names. The base paints and the layers seem to me to be exactly the same in coverage.

Couldn't comment on the washes or drybrush paints, don't use those techniques

I got them all on the release day, so far have painted with the reds, purples, whites and metalics and found they cover alot easier than the older colours and even though the shades are a little different its not to bad.
The washes don't seem any different yet but only used the purple and blue.

spenno,

what do you use as a primer.
