Just rang the hotel to book a room and had a bit of a surreal experience. Woman I spoke to knew nothing of Pendraken, nothing of the show, and wanted to know if I was attending the dinner dance. She also thoughtfully asked if I had the right hotel when I said definitely not to the dinner dance! Needless to say, I said I'd better check even though I knew I had the phone number from this post.

Are you guys sure that the booking's been made?

That's quite odd?!  The booking's definitely there, I was in the hotel the other day getting some measurements for the floorplan?  It was definitely the Marton Hotel and Country Club you rang?  We're booked into what they call the 'Sunroom', or 'Sunlounge' or something like that.  Let me know on that, and I'll give them a bell if there's a problem.

Odd doesn't describe it mate. Still, I'm now booked in for the Friday night, and will hopefully be there for the meal as well which is my intention.

Excellent, cheers for letting me know.  I might pop in there on Sunday and just check to see how many bookings they've got for rooms.

'Curry' here is shorthand for Indian / Bangladeshi / Pakistani food  8)

Oh - and we have this tradition of over-ordering, being hugely optimistic on the amount & heat (spice) of the food that we would like to eat.

Usually fuelled by the over-ordering of alcohol previously, during, and after the afore-mentioned curry  :D

And Curry is our new 'national dish' replacing fish and chips
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

I have to agreed with Shecky, round trip to there from here is roughly $1099 - $2400 depending upon which air carrier you get on.

Now what was that talk about for a single malt, Nik will have his Top Tottys wave your pointy stick around ?    :P

Might be worth the bucks for the airflight over   :d   :d

Just found an un opened bottle of Glenmorangie, i'll make sure I drop it (carefully) into my bag and bring it with me :D

It would be a shame to drink it at home on my own, better to share a wee drop amongst friends.

After finishing my degree and leaving to come back to Sheffield this seems like such a good excuse to return to Boro!

Furiously saving up my pennies and my compiling my shopping list, not long to go!
