Aircraft rotary engines for scratchbuilder

Hi

I was looking at Shapeways for aircraft models but since they've put their postage rate up to $20 flat for Asia/Pacific, I've shelved that idea. Now I'm looking at either scratchbuilding or card models but I was wondering if there were any metal or resin rotary engines available for models such as a Bulldog or the Wapiti shown below. It doesn't really have to be accurate, just generic would do me.

I'm usually pretty good at finding such stuff but this one has defeated me.

Grateful for any info.

Master modeler Major (ret) Don Schmenk casts very good engines in 1/144  resin - and his range of aircraft includes most inter war RAF fighters and light bombers.

I've got a Revell Douglas Dauntless kit (1/144) which you can have for a quid to cover postage? It looks vaguely similar in the engine department.

I was getting in touch with Don Schmenk a while back but then my elderly father's health threw multiple spanners into multiple works. I'll keep persisting with my attempts to scratchbuild but if it all comes to naught then I may be relying on Don to provide air power  . I'm working on a card model of a BUF SM79 (based on Zio Prundenza's work) at the moment, 10% thumbnail attached. Incidentally did  you ever post the picture of your JU52 conversion?

Don's models come in fine cast resin - the radial engines seperate, so may well do your job

Yes, I sent Leon an image of the conversion along with ww1 Brit in cap with Lewis gun, but as I lack the tec to format the image for the forum, thats as far as I got.  It fits my bill for a small tri motor reccy/bomber-  a little work with balsa and it could pass for a ca101.

If it is a SM79 your after, CafeReo have 2 or 3 different ones in their 1/144 Big Bird series which has been affordable, but a limited edition Graphon package, is starting to rise in price.
