A short review of my first Pendraken order

Hello, I just tonight recieved my first package of pendraken minies. I have 15 knights, 30 Landeskent Two handed swordsmen, 30 Elizabethan Musketmen in morion, 30 Elizabethan sword-and Buckler men, 10 HobGoblins, the dwarf army pack and a dwarf cannon, (about 40 dwarves altogether) . Upon receiving this host, I was surprised by both the detail of the minis and the smallness of them (I expected them to be pretty tiny, but its different holding them in your hand for the first time). Hence-forth mentioned detial was great, and I can easily discern all necessary features of my men. the dwarves are larger than I thought. They are as thick as they are tall, and they are only the tiniest bit shorter than their Human opponents, and when they stand next to each-other, its obvious that the dwarves aren't the scrawny ones (comparatively, at least). I am fine with that though, as I am thinking that these are some VERY "healthy" dwarves; the kind that can BullRush right through enemy formations! I am unimpressed at my first efforts and painting my men, but Rome was not built in a day, and the quality of minis cannot compensate for lack of skill. any way, I give it a 5/5, the only problems being one headless human and really long shipping. I will soon be posting my floundering at painting.

And thankyou for making awesome minis and an afortable price. Only one mini had any defects. its a "Arquebusier, at ready, cabasset  EL3", the rest were perfectly fine. I don't think shipping a replacement dude would be all that practical, and a single infanty men would be worth only 20 cents.

why thankyou, Leon. I will probably be ordering again soon, come to think of it. 1-2 months is enouph to paint what I already have, or at least it darn well should be.

Good luck with painting 10mm for the first time!  I am still a novice myself so I can offer little advice.  Someone along the way mentioned that it is the look of the unit rather than the look of each individual figure.
That was the best advice for me.   

Leon, I've just discovered that every single figure that I ordered in the Dark Ages range seem to be missing their heads.  Perhaps you can send a few Vikings this way?

i think they are meant to represent Saxons after a Viking encounter...
