I have converted a number of BP3 (Lewis gunner in helmet) to a new head in SD cap. If there is any interest, I am happy to post one to Leon and Dave to use as a master for soft silicon mould.

The figure has potential for interwar VBCW, Irish war of Independence (1919- 1920s) or indeed fictional interwar games where armies wear SD style peaked caps.

I have also some bombs in 10mm for underwing ordinance.

Hi Sunray/James

Sounds good, handy for IWI, Yeomanry, Home Guard, etc as well as VBCW. Now we just need some more with Tam, sidecap, greatcoat, etc  ;D ;D ;D

Cheers

We could certainly look at it.  Has the head been glued in place or pinned?

Just superglued as this is sufficient for my own gaming. Will that stand up to silicon moulds ?

Can we get a picture of this conversion?

Pinned would be better really, the superglue doesn't tend to hold up too well to all the pressure on it's own.

Not a problem - in the next batch I will (i) cut off a head, (ii) drill it and (iii) unsert a say 3mm long pin.

Better still, if I did this with a range of heads - SD cap, fore and aft style side cap, beret, British helmet, German etc - could you use them as masters for a dedicated range of heads - just as 15mm ranges like Peter Pig already have?  The pin would make conversions in 10mm scale  a lot less fiddly.

I don't have the skill to format images (still a SLR man) but am sure a Lewis gunner in cap is in the last picture I sent to Leon - the one with the staff car and the JU52 conversion.
