I have a permanent 6'x4' table made from two pieces of 3'x4' 10mm marine ply, on a sturdy lightweight ply frame . I also have two pieces of 4'x5' so using an ingenious method of interleaving I can create 6'x4'; 7'x5' (preferred size) or 8'x5' in my wargames room or up to 11'x5' in my living room.

When we had an extension built about 5 years ago I managed to negotiate a decent sized garage with plenty of good lighting with my domestic line manager.

;D You did well there mate  =D>

When we moved [similarly, about 5 years ago] I moved my permanent set-up from a single garage to a double [20' x 20'] garage; so everything's there - unfortunately surrounded by the accumulated detritus of family life [ranging from boxes of kids clothes to horse tack etc in my life].

My permanent table is about 5.5' x 4' - set up as grass; I have 6' x 4' cloths in desert & urban / ash waste which will cover it as needed; smaller games will get played either on [and end of] the dining room table suitably clothed, or one of a few MDF / chipboard offcuts that I've textured & painted. It's nice to be able to game on 2' x 2' sometimes  8)

My table comes in 3 sizes

Firstly the 2x4 basic table - notice the blackboard

Then the blackboard drops down from the wall to make a 4x4 - it's fixed to the wall by hinges

Finally the bit hanging down at the front lifts up to give me a 6x4 table

The board is held against the wall by

Now that's pretty damn ingenious!   :o :D

I have roughly 3X4 made from two halves of a paste table fixed side by side. Large anough for my micro armour, but now with failing eyesight I have some difficulty identifying tank models and which side they are on without my nose almost touching the table. Hence just sent my first order for 10mm. Should be able to cope ok. Have some very good solo games on this table.
