You already do something for this - applique armour wont show at this scale, and its easy to trim a gun.

Solution - use the Pnz III E/F Hull (btw these shold not be on same code most F's had 50L42), with L turret, and trim gun. To model would just need new turret.

Would still have to contend with the spaced armour on the turret mantlet with that conversion though by the sound of it.
