Some automatic doors have rotten sensors.  I've lost count of the ones I've walked up to and they've failed to open.  What to do then.  Back up and try again?  I stand there and wave frantically at the sensor to tell it I'm there, while feeling a tad insignificant.   :-<

I hate technology.  What was wrong with the bloody door knob? >:(
