I am looking for sets of wheels and axles to convert the 120mm mortar (SV48) into the wheeled post war version that is used by a number of armies.
The Dutch have a very useful 120mm mounted this way.  Does anyone know of a source ?

Small ones from plastic kits - or trim the off other vehicles.

Do you have any pictures of what you're after?
Have you seen the rivets on that?

Sunray

No, sorry don't have a picture. And in response to Ian, its a bit of a waste to destory a vehicle.  I have used the jeep wheels/axle of a 12mm Minifigs jeep - which works well, and jeep can converted to a 'shot up' version. a bit like Peter Pig does in 15mm.

Just wondered if there was a better value for money  source

Ahhh, lovely mate, some neat images there, brough back a few Cold War memories   Great guys the Cloggies -

Yes Leon, need an Axle and two wheels - jeep would be fine. The base looks BIG but soon beds in when thumping out 120mm . If you have such, I will add to my next order.   The added mobility makes the 120 a neat bit of kit on the table .Thanks guys

These wheels keep on rollin..........I have a project to scratch build a few Humber 'Pigs' in 10mm and would also need some wheels. The wheels & axles from BR66 Matador 4X4 field artillery tractor would seem to fit the bill. If you could do I'll add them onto my order for the St. Helen's show?

Many thanks  ;)

Warning on that one our kid. The Pig has more angles than soft Mick. It is I'm told a Pig to build.

Also - what for ?

I've bought the Airfix magazine with instructions & plans on how to build it in 1/72. I'm going to scale the drawings down to 10mm but yes you're right it does seem to have a lots of angles and not the easiest to build

A very good question!

I like to do a VBCW circa 1975 project in 10mm (with the Pendraken Falklands range in mind). I've scanned the internet and no does it in 10mm  Also, I've never scratch built anything before - maybe the Humber Pig isn't the thing start with? But what the hell.......it looks like for the future I'll have plenty of time on my hands considering the current economic/job situation

Out of period for you one of the new vehicles, or may be a Buffel/Crocodile MR vehicle might work.

Dave's just had a look through the photo's and we can sort you out some wheels for that, no bother.  Just let me know when you place your next order, and we'll pop some in.

The ones on the Matador are cast on I believe, but we could give you some from the 5.5" FG?  Also, do you fancy making just the one Pig, and we'll mould it up for you?
