These are some of the finest tableaus I've ever seen. It's not just the scenery, the real devil is in the composition. In little things like e.g. the light infantry down by the river covering the French bridge crossing. I've said it before, Spain has a fine tradition in miniature modeling and dioramas - but these are truly in a class of their own.

C'mon. Don't compare static diorama with wargaming terrain.
We do terrain for our purposes. One cannot game at so detailed terrain like this of Albuera.
So far, the best solution for me are all Bruce Weigle works.

They are very detailed but allow troops movement. But they also have major drawback - they are made for specific battles only.
