Fantastic looking force.  8) The Pacific Theatre is too often under-represented on game tables.  :(  As a buddy of mine once said, "Where else in 1944 can a 37mm gun wreak so much havoc on the battlefield!"

Good stuff

I'm a bit worried that the gunner on the rear gun seems to have no trousers on!

Don't worry Forbes - I can spare the blushes - those are camo ones  :)

Luddite

Excellent as ever Nik.

One rare 'negative' comment though - the star transfer on the vehicles jars on the eye quite badly.  Perhaps a thinned Godwash might tone it down a bit?

Yep - in these pics they are really bright aren't they? I think it might be the flash picking them out - they don't look that bright in-the-flesh (steel?)...although I might give 'em another pass anyway - thanks L  :)

Kiwidave

Nik, another thing to try to get them 'flat' is a coat of Klear, then matt varnish, or just a drybrush with your dust colour.

All you need now is a 10mm Washington or North Carolina to sit out in the harbour and dump 16" bricks on the Nips. :d
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Yes they are crusiers cant remember the class though. The requirement was that they fitted on a 4cm base. Can't even remember what scale they are.

Edinbrough and Belfast, last of the Town series pre WWII. Funnel position gives it away, and scale is 1/3000th

Stuff the 1/3000 - I want one in 1/144 like this:

It's 60.75inches long  - it could be my baseline  8)

But that one probiably could fire real shells! Air soft or .22 would annoy your opponent!
;D ;D ;D
Used to game with the Warriors of Loyne from Lancaster in the mid-90's, they did a Stetin game in 20mm with a scale torpedo boat under a bridge, that was big enough!
