Any chance of some WWWII sculpts?

The sort of thing seen in Secrets of the Third Reich or DUST Tactics.

Do the world war one Germans come with a gas mask sculpt?
That would be a start
Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

But what would you use for Liberty or Frau Tear?

Not to put a downer on this, as everythings good. But whats wrong with the 28mm ones?

Also if your just looking at doing it on a smaller table I think you probably could get something from the current ranges.  The Mecha will be your hardest thing to find. Is there a 10mm Mech supplyer?

Take care

you hit the nail on the head my 28mm stuff is too big. I have loads of 28mm stuff but with some ranges being in excess of 60 inches  then i needed smaller scales hence my dino hunting in 10mm as well as my plans for wierd wars. i have whole box of mechs from Wizard of the coast so i should be able to find suiable things in there. basically i am selling off my wierd wars stuff.

1.  Space.
2.  Overpriced 28mm figures.
3.  I want to do brigade-divisional engagements that 28mm is no good for representing.
4.  I want to do it in 10mm.

I'll definatley be able to cobble something together from the current ranges and what i can't i can scratchbuild or source elsewhere but i'd really rather get what i need from Pendraken.

For mechs, I should be getting the Battletech Introductory set this week, that has 26 mechs in it i think.  And i also think there 1/600 and 10mm is 1/144. So the battletech mechs could replace something just say there not as big.

Could be an interesting project i hope you keep us informed.

Take care.
Brian.

I think, at the moment these (done in 15mm) are as close you can get:

I was thinking along those lines myself, making a few component parts which can be put together to create loads of options.

That's handy ;) Remind me to come back to you on this one if I manage to get my head back into gear and finish my current project!

The major problem is tracks, you would have to do a lot of filling. Hetzer might work, or a 4wheel A/C

At Shapeways there is a designer that has done some 28mm and 1/285 work for these products:-

http://www.shapeways.com/model/170294/tank_walker__g__early_legs__walking__1_56th_.html?gid=sg49226
http://www.shapeways.com/model/183913/tank_walker__g__early_legs_drive_mode__1_56th_.html?gid=sg49226
http://www.shapeways.com/model/192115/tank_walker__valkrie__legs_walking__1_56th_.html?gid=sg49226

I don't know who owns the designs but maybe he can be hired to do some 10mm work.

Cheers

Some of the BattleTech like mechs from this guy are already available in 1/160, which would be a good match for 10mm.

The only problem would be the price, even if you don't order the gold plated one, they aren't what you'd call cheap!

The Matilda is multi-part with separate tracks I believe?  (Makes note to confirm with Dave...   :D)

It's not just the tracks, also theres no logical reason for turret, if there is a logical reason for a walker anyway. The US army did concept studies in the mid 50's, and reckoned that tracks and wheels would work better.

So are you considering doing something along these lines then Leon?

If so, i'd avoid the 'battletech' look.

I found some interesting models over at Minifigs http://www.miniaturefigurines.co.uk/Catalogue.aspx?ScaleID=4&CategoryID=23&SubCategoryID=149 but they are WAY too 'battletech' for what i see WWWII as being.

And in any case, as i said i'd rather buy from Pendraken.   :-[

Aside from walkers i'd like a few of the insane mega vehicles the Nazis we're looking at like the Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landkreuzer_P._1000_Ratte.

Or even the 'Monster'!

As foir the other stuff;

Power armour troops would be good

or even chaps in standard armour

I'm currently finishing off the FPW French i ordered (and shortly a 15mm 30YW Swedish army), but after that i'm considering WWWII (depending on figure availability really) and should be able to sort out enough from your current ranges...it'd be lovely to have dedicated sculpts though!
