Decal paper for Inkjet printers

Has anyone tried printing decals on clear decal paper using an inkjet printer? 

If so how good were the results.

I've not used clear, just white. So can't testify about whether the colour is slightly darker due to not being on white background.

What I've used it for, white worked well. I use it for fancy bits on cast on 15mm Napoleonic flags e.g. Austrian eagles, then blend (badly) around the edges with paint.

If you haven't used either before, leave it to dry for ages; then spray varnish (brush on re-wets the ink and smudges everything); leave to dry for ages; 2nd spray varnish coat; leave for ages.
