Looking back to "What I'd like to see in 2025"
https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,23388.msg367366.html#msg367366

SF Ranges, Amazons, Ancient Indians and chariot armies are somewhere in the Pendraken machine.  :-w

I could still be tempted by an expansion to the post-war ranges. I know another company >:(  has issued S-tanks, but I shall hold for Pendraken. Also, need at least infantry, the PBV302, Bandkanon, maybe the IKV91 according to my resource ...

( (c) 1982)

I can't see anyone issuing a Carden-Loyd, so 1929 is not happening in the near future.

Ticked off my list from 2025 are draught horses  and a start of the Napoleonic train. (thank you Leon :))

What I'd like to see from Pendraken in 2026
SF Ranges, Amazons and Ancient Indians; obviously a continuation of the Napoleonic train.

I quite fancy doing a Chocolate Box campaign. Undetermined late Victorian - a throwback to Little Wars or Charles Grant in aesthetics if not mechanics. Most of what I'd want is in the C19 range, but I'm short a British Guardsman. The Crimean War range has the right bearskins, but they are in greatcoats.

I am sure that I can create proxies for most of the  most difficulties between Mexico and Texas in the 1830s. I could field a plausible Mexican army but ground to a halt with the Northerners - especially militia.

Keeping to my love of outlandish tanks, I'd like to see the Neubaufahrzeug. OK, there weren't a lot of them, but they were shipped to Norway in 1940.  B) Would be fun to pit them against the Char 2c and the T35.

I hover around Early WWI without actually settling. It would be high level - maybe 20-24 figures per battalion. Pendraken ranges are quite good, but I would want Belgian carabiniers. There is a proxy in Austrian Jaegers from the 1860 range, but I don't trust myself to file off the feathers without creating a wide variation of headgear.

Although I am not planning further mid C17 shenanigans, I would appreciate the addition of a Scottish frame gun. Would be useful for Ottoman forces as well.

Conclusion
All in all, it's not a huge list of wants.  Pendraken scratches most of my itches, and there's always more coming. Thank you Leon, Milady, Dave and all the artisan dwarves - including the sculptors. You make the world a better place.

I've thought about extra stuff several times in 2025.
I honestly can't find much that would pass the tests of:
* Would interest me. (I know what I like, and am old enough to be fairly fixed in my preferences)
* Would sell enough to have a shot at commercial viability (Rules out "A company of the 34th wearing their special hats").
* There isn't already something so visually similar that a dob of paint wouldn't do the trick.

I always try to think what would appeal to new customers.
That line of thought brings me back to "rule specific starter sets".
Starter sets are the bread and butter of big-scale Band epic) warlord.
Baccus6mm offer something similar for a couple of rulesets.

I appreciate the challenge, and potentially infinite effort involved.
Thousands (and growing) sets of rules. Multiple army lists (between five and 600 for each).
You'd need a screw loose to consider it.

Perhaps there is a popular ruleset with an established 10mm following.
I can't advise on that.
The guys at Little Wars TV might be better placed to advise.

There's also the hope that rules writers (those without their own mini range to plug) might assist in compiling the lists.

QuoteFew very non-comercial things there.
I think there would be a market on the sinister size of the pond for the Mexican-Texan stuff, and the Guardsman could be added to the Crimean range. The frame gun would be an addition to the English Civil War range. The Belgians would be an addition to the WWI range. Red3 seem to think S-tanks will sell.

The only think off the wall is the Neubaufahrzeug. At least it, unlike the Maus and the Ratte actually made it to a war front. :P

  • My interest can get piqued by new goodies. I didn't know I needed Russo-Japanese figures until Pendraken created the range. There's always new offerings sparking interest - for example Trench Crusade
  • I agree about being too specialised - my desire for Neapolitan front rank chasseurs with lances will go unheeded - but most of what I mentioned are just an expansion to existing ranges.
  • It's stuff I'd like to see, and can't proxy to (e.g. 1830's Tex(i)ans).

Sorry not Pendraken but Van Dyck Models & Figurines do 1914 Belgian Carabiniers

WW2 Italian Bersaglieri
1860s Paraguyuans
1809-1813 Russians (which I believe in coming in the next non-kickstarter?)
1939 Polish/Slovak Cyclists

What I'd wish to see from Pendraken in 2026 that'll never happen in my lifetime:
Sikh wars range
Taiping Rebellion/Opium Wars
1st Afghan War ranges
So I've taken the plunge and had to do them in 28mm instead, partly because our gaming group has lots of 28mm already. And the ability to convert plastics leads to great possibilities.

Hopefully my savings will last until the none-kickstarter arrives

Hmmm ... "all on this forum in good health and good humour". I think the Vijayanta is more likely, but it's a kind thought.

Thank you. I've looked at them, but they're advertised as 12mm. Do they fit with Pendraken? Not to be rude to Pendraken but the WWI sculpts are older(?) and slighter than the more recent additions.
