Asking for a book recommendation.  I am looking seriously at creating a set of divisional level miniatures rules (why?  Because I am a nut, obviously).  I am interested in the Eastern front, but it's hard to find anything that really gets at both sides at a detailed level for anyplace except maybe Stalingrad.

I'm thinking Normandy might be a better chance.  Can anyone  recommend anything detailed – down to battalions and sometimes companies – for Commonwealth operations or some part thereof in Normandy say D+1 to Falaise?

The MicroMark lists are incredibly detailed and well researched and available on Wargames Vault as digital files.

They cover Normandy and all sorts of things besides.

If I have a caveat it is that this a rabbit hole down which whole days may slide!  ;D

There are also army lists for use with Blitzkreig Commander IV from the same guy.

Not a book I realise but definitely a resource worth being aware of.
