Hi

Not sure where to put this, but you will be more helpful than "The Other Place" (!)

Running a RPG. The scenario says
"The remaining 2 [pictures] depict strange vistas, but are quite impassable."

What 'Strange Vistas' could these pictures be?

(The other pictures act as 'doors to location in picture')
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Image search for:

LV-426
The Predator planet, as seen in "Predators".
Carcosa
The back cover of the 1st edition AD&D Dungeon Master's Guide (city of brass over a lava lake, wasn't it?).
The planet in "Pitch Black" (rings, and 3 suns in the sky).

etc.

Even a modern cityscape like London or New York (or Middlesbrough via "Blade Runner" . . .) would be a "strange vista", especially to the usual quasi-medieval setting of most RPGs.

Also Commorragh (from 40k) and R'lyeh.

I'd do an image search for alien landscapes and fantasy landscapes. That should provide strange vistas aplenty.

There are 100 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data

In thinking describing
1. Gallifrey from 12 Doctor.
2. View on Westminster Bridge towards Parliament. But describe this, see if they catch on.
