If there is any plan to expand the British WW2 range can I request some of Lovetts commandos make an appearance

There are Commandos in the range. On D-day or after Commandos, would have had full packs and often wore the British steel helmet, so would be indistinguishable from standard WW2 brits in 10mm

From the period photos and the various accounts Berets, burgens, and Thompsons made them stand out.

Lots of the shots, are not combat shots.

This accounts from a vet confirms they wore berets on landing but suffered heavy casualties due to not wearing their helmets.

I agree the standard brits do not have Bergan's. In action, the Bergan's would have been dropped pretty quickly.
To do you just three poses in bergans leon would have to sell over 50 packs to break even.

You could sponsor the Masters.

Is that not proving thr point they wore berets, whether it's sensible or not is a different story

Is there a going rate for sponsoring Masters?

Commandos were issued with Steel helmets as standard kit and would normally have worn them in combat.

The book "Commando" by Peter Young has a number of WW2 combat photos in it. They are from raids in Norway, Street fighting, Firing support weapons and landing from an LCA on sword beach. In all of them they are all in Steel helmet and light kit. Not a Bergan, beret, or comforter in sight.

Apparently Lovatts unit wore their Berets on landing, as did the veterans unit in the article (probably in defiance of orders). Most I suspect wore the helmet out of self preservation.

Bergans were used on the march and would have been ditched if at all possible before or on entering combat. (You don't want the possibility of being in hand to hand combat with a heavy pack on your back).

I know where you are comming from, as i have two Assault sections in 20mm.One in light kit and the other with bergans. All are in comforter/beret.  I had to scout out two different manufacturers to get them, as I suspect it is not comercially viable to produce both.

As to sponsoring masters, you would have to Chat to Leon.

It could be quite expensive. You would probably want as a minimum. Rifleman in 3 poses, Bren Gun Team. Sten gun, Flamethrower.  That's seven master figures. From previous posts I expect its around £100 per figure as a minimum, but as I say you would have to talk to Leon.

It would also need to be fitted into their schedule.

I hear what you are saying but I need them to stand out on the field of play

Berets and Burgens seemed like the cleanest way

Have you looked at the Korean War range?

Use 28mm Commando miniatures. Then they'll stand out, head and shoulders (and body and waist) above the 10mil stuff  ;D

Well I thought it was funny  :'(  :'(  :'(  I'll get me coat.

- I looked at the Korean War range, too. Wasn't struck on the automatic weaponry available, if they were to be substituted into WW2. Head-swaps and greenstuff bergens may be the only answer  :-\

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Surely the existing range will stand out as they are.

Regarding Commandos, later on towards the end of the war at Walcheren and in Italy they appear to wear Denison smocks as seen on footage they seem to still be wearing a beret and the normal helmet, I realise that this is nothing to do with the original request sorry.

That's intriguing, the Commandos themselves would want to be as invisible as possible.
What gaming mechanism requires them to stand out as it were, over and above the rest of the forces on table?
