Hi out there!
I'm an old gamer in Ontario, Canada, looking for other gamers who dabble in the Colonia era, the Zulu War in particular.  I'm working on a huge Isandlwana project and would love to have a collaborator or two.

There's definitely other 10mm gamers in Ontario, I've had a quick look and we've had half a dozen orders from that neck of the woods over the last couple of months.  Obviously it's a big old place though, so not sure how close to you they might be!  Hopefully they're members of the Forum and will pop by to say hello.

Welcome smokie

My Zulu project is rather stalled - probably from lack of good rules - but also from competition from far too many other games and periods!

Welcome Mr Gunner.

I am nowhere near Canada, nor do I game the Colonies. With this period in particular, I wonder if you are going for the Michael Caine look, or something more contemporary?

IMHO Battles for Empires is a pretty good set of colonial rules, based on the games I've played  :D

What rules do people recommend for the Zulu / Boer wars?  Any advance on Black Powder and Principles of War?

I like The Men Who Would Be Kings. Fun & cinematic though, rather than serious & "realistic".

We did use Battles For Empire II which is a pretty good set but Bloody Big Battles (BBB) does an excellent job of handling both the Anglo-Zulu War & the Second Boer War.

There are several scenarios on the BBB Group.io site

Here is Isandlwana using BBB on Tabletop Simulator
