Terrain Sub-Board? Some terrain requests, anyway

Has anyone (before me, that is) asked for a Terrain Sub-Board in the Requests Section?

And, if not, any chance of a Terrain Sub-Board in the Requests section? Or do we, simply, write a post in the relevant time period (if possible), or write a general post in the Requests section?

Anyway...  :]]

I'd like to make a request / offer a suggestion to see these terrain items added (as I don't understand Model Railway gauges, except for OO Gauge, and, don't know of a person to do it for me / don't own a 3D printer so can't do it myself.)

. (resin) train tracks - standard gauge : even if it's just straight section of single track
. (metal) telegraph poles : generic looking, as each country / time period has its own look
. (metal) electricity pylons : well, why not?  :)

Thank you for opportunity to ask.

Hi Roy,

For 10mm train track N Gauge is about right, as is the rolling stock. Search on ebay or use the dapol Die cast trains. If you can get to a model railway shop or a railway show, you may find bargains.

3 feet of straight flexi track ( will bend into curves a bit. N gauge track is about £5 it can easily be cut with a junior hacksaw. This is probably far cheaper than leon could make it for.

The alternative is to go with Paper terrain. $12 will get you 40' of track printed in colour on card. To make mine more durable I use the self adhesive tiles from a DIY store for about £3 a box.  I then stuck the track on to the sticky side of the tile, and cut it out.

I managed to find a plain gray tile and can use the other side as roads.

Thanks for the information and explanation Orcs  :)

Just done an eBay search and found what you've referred to.

I bought some resin track from Ironclad Miniatures, in 15mm, which features modelled ballast and gives the terrain piece a nicely raised height when placed on the tabletop. I'm looking for something to provide a slight movement impediment for 10mm games of What a Tanker, plus make the gaming area look visually appealing.
