I rather like The Arctic Monkeys. "Why do you only call me when you're high," "Flourescent Adolescent," "Mardy Bum," "Cornerstone," and "I bet you look good on the dancefloor" spring to mind.

I've tidied up this thread a bit, let's leave Rolf to rot.

Sad to hear about Tina, really enjoyed her music and she was a hell of a role model after everything she went through.  The What's Love Got To Do With It movie was a very difficult watch and I struggled to see Laurence Fishburne as Morphius after his portrayal of Ike.

Her Elizabeth I in the 1971 TV series 'Elizabeth R' was captivating (and breathed life into my A level history studies!).
Quite a career, quite a woman.

I think she was at her finest playing Cleopatra and Victoria

Yes, but the quality of the cast carried her to new heights there. :)
She had to put up with a load of duffers in Elizabeth R. :D

Jane Birkin! Only 76!

For me, she is somewhat iconic for her classic duet with Serge Gainsbourg.

Ah! Jane Birkin. Fond memories of a teenage me playing "Je t'aime, moi non plus" at a church jumble sale and realising no one knew enough French to understand the words so playing it again.
