Quote from: Raider4 on 23 February 2023, 12:28:24 PMT-54? Hmm, I was thinking an M24 or M41, but you don't really get a good look.
You can if you're very quick on the pause button. Gap in the wheels make me think T54.

Jokes are like puppies - they don't survive dissection. I was trying to revive the old practice of Techno baiting, a much hallowed and flourishing art in days of yore.

Do you think Napoleon ever took part in a cavalry charge?

I'm sure it will be visually spectacular, but as for historical accuracy, why let the truth get in the way of a good story? ;)

In 1994 in a wargame of Marengo. He ended up being captured thus ending the Napoleonic Wars early.

Just got back. 'Twas very good. Odd bit of bad acting, and occasionally the monster's eyes looked a bit weird to me but generally the graphics & effects were excellent and the story was much more grounded than the recent US versions have been.

There was a trailer for a new American Godzilla/Kong movie which just looked so, so ridiculously stupid it beggars belief. And it probably has a budget upwards of $250 million. The Japanese made this film for less than $15 million I believe.

Saw it myself this evening. Excellent monster romp  :D

Rebel Moon II out on the 19th April (on Netflix) - I shall watch it out of interest but I have no great expectations that it will be any better than the first one  :'(

Civil War was great. Just got back. Two thumbs up from me. If you want to see it, use the cinema. Not so much for the visual spectacle, but for the sound.

Now to see if I can fit Dune 2 in before it disappears.

Just binge watched "Fallout" on Amazon Prime.

It's the TV miniseries set in the Fallout computer game world.

I don't think you need to have played Fallout to enjoy the series, but it probably helps with some of the nuances.

The action rollicks along at a decent pace and flips between the three main characters in a way that I found easy to follow.

I enjoyed it.

We are enjoying Fallout too, as it's easy watching and with a quirky sense of humour. Visually it's stunning and love that whole 1950's America vibe they have going on, with lots of great 'adverts' in the background that are fun to read if you spot them in time.

Just started & finding it fun and easy to dip in & out of. But not an 'obsessive' binge-watch for me (unlike Shogun) .... "got to go and what todays episode now"  :D
