Dreaming of Aussie temperatures right now - my son lives in Melbourne and will be lucky to see 14c tomorrow.  It is so hot where I live near Cambridge that my wet palete dried out.

Had highs of 38*C here in the car, but my 1876 house has been a relatively benign 22-24*C.

Everything back to normal tomorrow, ~19*C forecast, so two days is a bit of a novelty really despite all the furour (which sells more newspapers and TV adds).
How the UK will cope when we get a block of 7 days like this, followed by two weeks of 10*C with floods, followed by another week of 40*C......

Vacated Waiting Room plastic chairs have Damp patches from sweaty nethers...Euw! 

Here in Northumberland, UK, Tuesday seemed slightly less hot than Monday... until evening, when felt a lot hotter! Ended up padding around in underpants... haven't felt need for that in maybe 12 years + !
Wednesday 11am... light overcast and felt COOL!  12.30 and HOT SUN! 

Annoying thing is that opening doors / windows...and you get Flies or Moths. I would hate to exist in a country that had serious Flies or Mozzies!
