Thanks for the report and rules review Steve. We have had a look at these rules as a group project - but stalled a bit as one of the group wanted to do it in 6mm, whilst nearly everyone else wanted to use Pendraken 10mm (of course)!

With the size of armies does feel rules more suited to group projects rather than a personal one.

I painted up two 6mm armies in January which I really enjoyed. However, I'm now hooked on the Pendraken range after watching the Little Wars TV Brandywine episode. So may be selling them to fund the 10mm collection.

But if we are all mad, does it matter?  :D  :D

Ive got a certificate to prove I'm sane....

On a serious note you do need multipe scales for different levels individual 10mm and 6mm figures are a tad fidley, massed 28's far to expensive. Horses for courses.

Multiple scales? Multiple scales?

The only place multiple scales are needed are on a piano and on a fish.

There is but one true scale.

I am realising that 10mm is the 15mm at less than half the cost. 15mm fiuures have reached over 50p a figure. Other than finishing off two projects, I'm not sure I'll be investing in any new periods in 15mm in the future.

6mm is less than half the cost of 10mm and 3mm less than half the cost again!  However, the smaller they get then the more, perhaps, you need.  They do give you options.

And I'm moving the other way, deciding that 10mm is just too small for sci-fi skirmish, but 15mm is fine, and there are huge ranges available. And if I only need 7 figures for an 'army', then I can (usually) buy just the ones I needwant.

And Pendraken's Alien Creatures range look just fine ranged against them.
