VERY windy here (Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire) last night! Lots of trees and fences down and the couple of inches of snow blown into drifts.

The wind here somehow swept all the leaves into a pile in a corner of the back yard!

Went a street across, and lots of small branches down in the road, whereas on ours nothing too much. 

Wind seems to be building again tonight

Heedless Horseman

A friend's Static Caravan near Bamburgh had a partial support collapse and others lamenting trees down, but remarkably little damage overall.
Today, Sunday, light snow lying a bit on frosted ground but nothing of import. Could change, though. Twice, Cat has declined to go for his usual perambulations...

Arwen, here at least, seems to have been a nice Gal. Wonder what Hecate will be like, when she comes to visit someday?  :o

Speaking to Leon yesterday at Warfare a part of the roof of the Pendraken unit had been blown off.

I do hope not TOO bad, Leon....fingers crossed.

The storm caused me accident number 2 today. =)

Ridge tile had blown off..so I had to go up into the 'old' attic' and see how much daylight I could see from where it had come off.
Fortunately....No gaping hole, but that tile will need replacing...not by me.

Mishap no. 2 was shifting the loft hatch...much heavier than I remembered and I managed to drop that on my head....Fortunately NOT a corner, otherwise that would have been blood, spurt, murder.

Accident 3 was filling a water trough for the field where two of the horses will be spending the next few weeks.
Final full bucket to take over....I tripped on a pice of bramble, and went flying, landing on the top edge of a very hard plastic bucket.....Nicely bruised shin, and a very wet leg. Wellies, jeans and socks currently drying on a radiator.

That's my 3 for today....I hope,

Phil- what can I say!

Went out on a bike ride this morning (cold, dry and not windy) best weather in several days! On one side rode found a tree across the road! A lady walking her dog had warned me, but no warning signs. 

A bit of snow around lunch time (most unusual for round here), but didn't settle.

Good Show! As a responsible Tree-Parent, you will find that visits for Chats, Hugs and in time, stern warnings about 'That Ivy', (She's Clingy!)... will be very rewarding in later years.
I, myself, am considering the raising of a small brood of Pine cone seedlings. Sadly, the Scots Pine with a lean towards the house, has his her its days numbered... but if I can let it know 'job done'... I will feel better about its demise.   :(  :)
