Mid 80s saw rampant cover South of Tyne. By 2000s was in local Park, 10 miles North. Have seen pics of where some fishing guy had had his waders drying on a line in garden... and then seedlings! Dogs spread... as does wildlife. The seed pods 'shoot' so kids like!!! If left, will form a 'Jungle'! Pretty... but Definite 'Kill Order'! DO NOT put in 'Green Bin' for 'compst!   Lol.

Yep, it's spread all along our part of the river Avon on the outskirts of East Bristol and is slowing moving along the river towards the city. We've tried to keep on top of it as a local conservation group, but it's a task beyond even Hercules . The local councils don't even bother trying to manage it, neither to the people in charge of the waterways. A real shame as it's smothering the local native flora.

Well done Mark! We try and pull it up before it gets close to forming seeds, to minimise the spread. Good idea for recipes though.
