We loved her as Mrs Hudson in Sherlock. Not much screen time but each moment memorable.

Definitely my favourite of the roles she played.

For those of us of a certain age she will always be Aunt Sally... RIP

For those of us a bit older she was Sandy in Summer Holiday.

Just seen that on t'news.  Very sad.  I've had many laughs watching him on cats does countdown over the years and his entire episode p-take on cats when Jimmy Car was in tax trouble was sublime.

Leon

This one's definitely a shock, I'd not heard anything about him being ill and as far as I knew he was still filming Cats does Countdown.  That's a real shame.

Austin Mitchell: Former MP for Grimsby - 86.

That's sad, he was quite well known and respected over here in NZ as well as the UK.

Ah! Dear old Austin Haddock! One of an increasingly rare breed of political "characters."

Good to know he is not forgotten in the Pavlova Paradise, Peter. :)
