These figures are now waiting for their banners which will require a reduction in lock down restrictions before they can be delivered by the ever helpful Pierre the Shy

Today, despite the forecast yesterday, is calm and sunny

Free Company varnished

Brush on varnish applied to banners and labels

I've hit a problem I've not had before
The magnetic vinyl that I glue under the bases has not glued properly on some of the elements and curled at one end
I didn't notice this before varnishing the elements and the varnish won't have got under the elements
Perhaps it is the warmth from the sun while the varnish was drying
With figures now based my normal method of weighing them down until the glue has dried won't work
So I'm trying some tape to hold some of them while the glue dries

The tape seems to have worked and pulling it off hasn't done much damage to the detailed label under the bases 

I've re-glued the rest that needed it

The weather was finally sunny during an afternoon when I was available to take pictures

Bascot de Mauléon - a Basque soldier & mercenary, his troops attacked Avignon and ransomed the Pope

Sir Robert Knolles - an English knight and commander, who took part in the War of the Breton Succession
Sir Hugh Calveley - an English knight and commander, who gained fame during the War of the Breton Succession and the Castilian Civil War

Duke Werner von Urslingen - a mercenary of German-speaking origins in the Holy Roman Empire
Rodrigo de Villandrando - a Spanish routier from Castile and mercenary military leader in Gascony
