Stunning...and now:

- I want one [mainly to open beers with]
- I'm really scared of the Chinese military
- I can see how they built The Great Wall

Nice one! Good old ebay.

It's probably one of the only things on the market that you'd *want* to be made in China  :P  :D

Probably not - they dont show them snow shovelling on the video, and as it can do everything else...makes one wonder if there is something they missed out.

Yeah but you cant climb  a mountain with a knife or dig a trench, or hammer in tent pegs  :D

Oh no, we have a shovel gap

Look at this pathetic western shovel

how do our boys stand a chance if they need extra tools to cut wire and dice veggies!!

Time to start the development program, or all we'll have to rely on is British pluck

But the knife is so light you can carry it and a proper tool to do the other things like digging a trench or climbing a mountain.
The "Entrenching Tool" is rubbish, the handle's too short for decent digging and the blade too small to move a decent amount of earth also it's guaranteed to break at the hinge just when you need it most and I definately wouldn't use it for any sort of serious mountaineering, as for tent pegs, use a rock.

Sorry, I seem to get aflicted with uncontrolable bouts of common sence when I see stuff like this.  Generally things like the super military tool are designed by people who don't actually have to then carry and use it.  My favourite is the wonderful WW1 bayonet for the Webley revolver, it probaly seemed like a good idea and looks realy cool but was never popular.

The Swiss Army knife is my favourite bit of kit of all time, I once even used mine to saw an anti theft lock off my girl friend's car when she's forgotten the key.
