Noteworthy because a) the Romans have got some new Alan allies; and b) I want comments on the base cloth - see piccies below.

Well, my Huns had good omens at the start, and these weren't lying....

Fewer action pictures today; things ended fairly quickly when Aetius got drawn into a cavalry scrap too far ahead of his foot. The Roman artillery shot up one unit of Hunnic light horse rather seriously, but that was the one success for the good guys.

I like the cloth, but I think it would benefit from another colour, something between the sand base and the darker patterns.

Hmmm. I'll have a look at the local model shops.

I think a lighter colour than the sand, randomly sprayed over it would lessen the bright yellow effect I'm seeing on my screen.

A good point.  FK, do you think the photo does your cloth justice?

I have a green fleece mat that always seems to look purple in photos.

Some pix came out more yellow, some more orange. The reality may be a bit lighter.

What type of lighting do you have, over the table, Alexander  ?

You might have a colour correction 'facility' on your camera/phone....That sometimes helps.
