No they are not. My pre-pubescent wargaming days involved the ACW, WWI, WWII, cavalry and Indians and the Wars of the Roses. Faeries and sprites were for girls.

Hear him! And smelly uni type hippies who did D&D. I modelled my self on Jason King when I was 13, who was a historical wargamer, long with Ewa WooWoo

And Derrick Guyler - there were a few famous faces back in the late 60s/early 70s giving historical gaming a respectable face. then there was ET - no wonder I couldn't see the point of D&D.

I don't know weather to admire your persistence or feel sorry for your bad luck, or was it a case of your over-active libido overruling your common sense ?

I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

I've never met an over-40 who didn't express a wish that he or she had let libido have more say in making the decisions of youth (possibly excluding the idiots who still manage to get carelessly knocked up in this day and age).

It was my misfortune to be everything that a girl's mother wanted for her.

Anyway, this isn't getting Orcs a locked thread.

On certain days, Ian...that'd be quite true !! ;D

There are also about 7 acres of 'bog' fields , of ours, across the road. Those are part of a SSSI. (Site of special scientific interest)
Every few years, the powers that be come and cut a lot of it down, to help some rare butterfly or other.

They use a giant sort of flail attached to some heavy bit of tracked machinery. (Nobby would like that.)
Allegedly, a few years before our time here, the 'tank' using the flail got stuck, as it had sunk so much.
A rescue tractor, trying to pull the flail out, got stuck as well, as did another tractor, that went into rescue the first two.....A third tractor had to rescue the whole lot ! X_X

Cheers - Phil
