No sign of heather or gorse on any of these bases.

Otherwise they are OK

Bagot's Hussars (a single pack and an officer, they are a tiny unit in Black Powder), artillery and Colonel Anne MacKintosh that completes the Jacobite forces, will move onto Government forces at some point (it's ony taken 10 years to get this far).

She's definitely in the wrong place!

Move them

Definitely the last line of defense, if this lot end up fighting it's game over!

We'll just watch you do your thing.

Started the government forces for the '45 that I bought in 2019. Only 7 years, not bad!

So, need to do a bit of explanation, revision and background here.
I initilally bought the 28mm Jacobites in 2018 to fight against Graham's 28mm 18th Century Government forces. Plan was to use Black Powder, and I matched to his basing (hence only a few figures per unit, whereas you are used to my massive 10mm units for other rules). Due to one reason and another, they never yet made it to the table.
The Government forces were from a follow-up Flags of War Kickstarter later in 2019. I ordered these figures, thinking maybe if I finally had both sides, I could get a game in; and they sat in a heap on my desk... Then lockdown happened, I made a big effort to get the Jacobites done, but the Government figures still sat there. Then I changed wargames clubs and Graham also did not go down to our old club due to underlying health issues and looking after his elderly mum, so I had no reason to do them, and they stayed there.
Then, suddenly, in 2024, Graham died in his 60s. Heart attack. Instant.
Yeah.
Graham lived life. He loved life. He had a huge knowledge of history, a great line in jokes and loved silly movies. Everyone was refered to as 'My boy'. If you talked about anyone in the third person with him, they were always refered to as 'The Boy (insert last name here)' even if they were older than Graham! He never spoke ill of anyone, he disliked people, but he was always civil and calm with them.
He had declared, one evening, in the pub, after a particularly silly game of aerial combat game 'Angels 15', featuring 'Catch The Pigeon' modifications, that when he died, as he was carried out the church in his coffin, it would be to the theme tune of 'Catch The Pigeon'. And fifteen years later, he was.
This was quite a catalyst. It saw me walk out of teaching the day after his funeral, realising it was not for me any more, and decide to do things for me and my family, not just the stuff I was expected to do. You will have noticed the volume of painting I have produced since 2024 has dropped, partly because my hours have changed with the non-teaching job, and partly because I used to use painting as a way of switching off after a day at the chalkface. Now I paint really for my own pleasure, mostly on days off (apart from a few remaining commission that come in).
So, this summer, I tidied up the 'to do' heap (of shame) and took out the Government forces and decided enough was enough. Bases were ordered, reseach done, flags bought, paint on.
Now, I know these are probably NOT the most historically accurate forces I have ever done. There are errors. The button counters will swoop on them, as I suspect at least one unit (The Warwicks) has the wrong flag, and I think I have painted the musicians and grenadiers wrong. But, they are done.

The Duke of Cumberland is on a much smaller base the Bonnie Prince Charlie. I'm sure I had an excuse and a rules fudge planned (something about him being regular maybe?), but it was mainly because I forgot to check what I had done previously. The foot sergeant will act as a secondry officer in the meantime.

The units I started with are the 4 that fought at Prestonpans.
Murray's Regiment: 46th Foot
Lascelles' Regiment: 47th Foot
Guise's Regiment: 6th Foot
Lee's Regiment: 44th Foot

It turns out my Step-Father is a Fowke, related to the Government cavalry commander who ran away that fateful day half-hour! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Fowke

So I will have to add the dragoon cavalry units later

I have a unit of Austrian War of Succession infantry that I will add to the next batch too, as a returning veteran unit. I will definitely need extra Governmet foot units (Fuisillers are a must) to make a second brigade, some artillery and the aforemention dragoons to add flaout to the force, but for now, scenarios beckon.
