Rct, I have encountered several sources recently, with the best being Laurence Spring's "The Bavarian Army During the Thirty Years war 1618-1648". His chapter on clothing the soldiers covers not just the Bavarian's, but just about a little of every nation.

Yes - we love it.  Playtested it and also the new version of its older cousin Impetus.

Also struggled to find anything else that comes close to the period.

Leman, they are a mixture.  I wanted a variety of poses.  Have bought EC14, 28, 36 & 37 as well as YW1 and mix them up.  No loading figures though on the tercio.  Will keep them for the P&M units that are primarily firing.

That tercio is very impressive, love the big base and all the figures, really works well. Superb!!! :)

Wow! Great work with both painting and modelling, not just a great wargaming unit- a cool diorama too. Is the TYW the period with Viggo Mortensen running around Spain with his rapier? I haven't really read any of the history around the period (as you can tell), is there a good starting point for literature you could recommend?
